Don O. Tent ER Alchemy
This was the secondary favicon I made for the Don O. Tent ER site, with the same tent icon inside of a 17th century alchemical squared circle symbol. I uploaded an image of the alchemical symbol into Inkscape and traced the bitmap, then overlaid the medical cross icon on top of that and changed the colors to green.
I made the alchemy favicon with the goal of creating a secondary Don O. Tent ER site that parodied itself and lampooned medieval medicine, with procedures such as bloodletting and exorcisms being offered instead of blood tests or addiction abatement/detox. The idea was to find a way to change content of the site, such as text and images, with a button click using JavaScript. I liked the concept, but the actual execution was way out of my league. Regardless, my attempt led to working out a simple dark/light mode function that's used on this site.
