All About Luna

We got Luna in April of 2014. One of our older dogs passed away, so we wanted to get a puppy to keep our remaining dog, Elvis, company. My husband decided on choosing a Great Dane. Elvis was a coonhoud mix and was a big dog - or so we thought. Nothing really prepares you for the size of a Dane! With the exception of Elvis, everyone immediately fell in love with Luna! She was the sweetest puppy - goofy and lovable. And she loved Elvis! She followed him around everywhere and was constantly loving on him. After a couple of months Elvis eventually fell in love too and they became BFFs.
Luna is now 9.5 years old and is our only dog; Elvis passed away in 2019. She's our girl and we love her! She was recently diagnosed with cancer, so this website is a tribute to her. Creating it is bittersweet, as we don't know how much time we have left with her, but it's been a good way to process all of the wonderful memories we have of her.
Luna is the absolute sweetest dog we've ever met. She does not have a mean bone in her body and even though she's pretty ancient for a Dane, she still acts like a puppy at times. She loves to sleep under the covers, give kisses and gallop in the backyard like a horse. She's terrified of thunderstorms and fireworks and loves nothing more than to bark at anything that comes even remotely near our front door. You couldn't ask for a better companion.
