The Villarreal Family Timeline

• My wife, Stephanie, and I met in the Fall of 2006 at Collin College. Back then, it was known as Collin County Community College, or "Quad C" for short.





• Shortly after we started talking as classmates, David decided to make the move and invite Stephanie to come watch his band play at a local rock show. After wards, they'd go have dinner.

David was a part of a popular, local rock band known at the time as "Don't Wake Aislin." Today, "Don't Wake Aislin" records and tours as indepedant artists and are now known as the band "Veridia".

Stephanie, excited to be able to spend time with David outside of school, decided to go to his show. Littledid she know that her decision would significantly change the course of both of their lives...

• After nearly 18 months of dating, David knew that Stephanie was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. He had decided that he was going to purpose, and he knew exactly how he was going to do it!

David decided that it was time for him to move on from "Don't Wake Aislin" so he could focus on school and his future relationship. His last show with the band had been scheduled, and it was the perfect opportunity to propose.

After their last song, David's friend and lead singer, Deena, ran out to the crowd, grabbed Stephanie by the hand, and dragged her onstage. While David was thanking all of the fans for years of support and dedication, he segueyed into his proposal by exclaiming there was one person in particular that he'd like to thank, his girlfriend Stephanie.

At that moment, he dropped to one knew, pulled out a ring, and asked her to be his wife. Through tears and laughter, Stephanie said "yes."



• It was all set, after over a year of planning and preparing, on March 15, 2008, David and Stephanie were married! So young, and so in love, they spent their honeymoon in Orlando, FL. Enjoy everything Disney World and Universal Studios had to offer.

• Shortly after we said our "I dos" in 2008, we found out that we were expecting our first child. Definitely a wonderful surprise, our first steps towards parenthood were riddled with excitement, anxiousness, fear, and just about any other emotion you could think of.

As the time passed, and our delivery date grew closer, in the early morning of March 3, 2009, we welcomed into the world our first child, a son, who we named Ryan. We were instantly in love!



Ryan was such a bright kid. He loved to laugh and have fun, explore, and pretend. He taught Stephanie and David so much about life, how to enjoy the simple things, and how much they loved being parents.



• 2009-2014 Stephanie and David got to spend a lot of time watching Ryan grow up. They new more kids was what they wanted, but do to particular life situations, namely the large expense of having children, they decided that a second child would have to wait.

Then, after 5 years, it finally happened. Ryan was met with a little surprise. Since the Villarreals are a family who like to have fun, naturally they came up with a unique way to tell him about the new addition coming.

Dressing Ryan up in a superhero cape, David and Stephanie presented Ryan with a unique poster for his room. Drawn up like a movie theater poster, the sign read, "Every Superhero Needs a Sidekick - Coming April 2015." Ryan was excited, he was finally going to be a big brother!

• As much as Ryan was ready to be a big brother, David and Stephanie were excited to be expanding their family. They felt that having been parents for five years and counting, surely they were prepared for another kid... boy were they wrong.



On April 18, 2015, the Villarreals welcomed their second child, Laney.



Well, sure they were prepared for another kid... after all, they were great parents. What they weren't prepared for was just how different Laney would be, and just how much personality she'd bring with her. Full of energy, a love of dancing, and games, and playing makeup, Laney always kept her mommy and daddy on her toes.





Laney spent her toddler years as a baby model, doing photo shoots for companies like JC Penny's. Instagram, however, was her bread and butter. Litterally hundreds of online, privately owned boutiques would send Laney clothes to wear and model, as long as Stephanie would take pictures of Laney wearing the clothes, post them on Instagram, and tag their boutiques, they'd keep sending her free clothes. For a young couple with two kids, it was a really good deal.

Additionally, it turned out to be a huge benefit for Stephanie as well, as it created in her a desire and passion for photography. Starting simply taking photos on an older generation iPhone, Stephanie began learnign and studying photography. David eventually purchased her first professional DSLR camera as a birthday gift, officially launching Stephanie's personal photography company, now known as Stephanie Villarreal Photography.

• Not too much time later, Stephanie and David decided they wanted to not wait as long between kids to have what the new would be their finaly child. After careful planning, they became pregnant with their third child.

Having one boy and one girl already, they thought it would be fun to wait to find out what their third child would be. They had spent time throught the pregnancy picking names, trying to decide on two sets of names that they could choose from depending on whether their last child would be a boy or a girl. If they had a girl, Stella Marie, Marie after Stephanie's late great-grandmother, or Logan Matthew, Logan after David's favorite X-Men, Wolverine.



On June 1, 2017, Stephanie went into labor. A 9-month pregnancy that seemed so much longer, mostly due to the anticipation of discovering whether their final child would be a boy or a girl, but it had finally arrived. Then, after a short time in the hospital, David and Stephanie welcomed the newest member of their family, Logan.





Logan loves technology. He spends most of his time building worlds in Minecraft, or battling through Lego Star Wars on his Nintendo Switch. He's a cuddly and loveable kid, always looking to give a good hug or a long embrace. He's a shy kid, but often times finds ways to overcome his fear and press on.

Today, the Villarreal family is busier than ever. From school to marching band, taekwondo to basketball, you can always find the Villarreals about. Although time for them is tight, they make it a point to never neglect two things:

1. 1. Their relationship with God as believers and followers of Christ. Always making time for Worship and Serving at church.
2. 2. Family time with each other. Whether it's pizza and streaming a movie, or going to dinner, the Villarreals make it a point to spend time growing as a family.
