Chapter 1: Rio Grande Gators

One of the best features of the Texas landscape is the Rio Grande River, beautiful, gorgeous from every angle. Especially beautiful is the Big Bend National Park. However, what most people didn't know or realize is how basin came to be. It used to be flat, once upon a time. Like, before 1500. Maybe even earlier, if history goes back that far. We can only speculate from fossils and formations and such. We think.

But anyways

Once, in 1516, a great storm gathered over the state, moving from the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean, in which several gators were caught, flung, and ultimately brought to the state. These gators lived in the Rio Grande for another 300 - 400 years before they all decided to retire and move to Florida.

Chapter 2: Tumbleweeds & Tornados (Or How the West was Tamed)

Tumbleweeds are some of the most dangerous creatures when encountered in the wild. It is important to be careful not to show your teeth when approaching one and to make no sudden movements in their presence.

This is where the West was tamed. The inception of weapons, horses, and cattles were necessary for the defeat of the untamed West. The tumbleweeds sought out small animals and other creatures and the ability to stop them was a necessary development for people to be able to live in the places we now call and identify as Lubbock and Abilene.

Chapter 3: Cowboys, Rangers, and Stars

Many people are familiar with certain players in the state history - the advent of Cowboys, and the Texas Rangers, and the beautiful Stars at night. This is why the most important sports franchises in the state are named after them. (The Spurs later became important as well).

Key towards the state's international development is its ability to communicate with other nations. The famous 'Six Flags Over Texas' amusement park, known for the 6 different nations whose flags have flown over the state. However, beyond that, the state used its influence to develop relationships with other countries. There are many such cases, and the development of things like 'TexasDeutsch' is one of them. Below is a Photo of a key partner in such relationships.

Chapter 4: Dangerous Adventures

Of course, the hard times follow the good ones too. It wasn't until the late 80s and even the early 90s that trouble came a lookin' again for the fellows of the state. A documentary was even made of this, known by the name "Tremors". Starring Kevin Bacon. This discovery, though immense, was also cause for concern. It was by the incredibly dangerous animals, the dirt devils, that this discovery came to be.

These creatures sought out to eradicate some of the settlements, and for a while, it seemed they would be successful. That is, until it was discovered that the tremor meat was incredibly delicious and tasty. Over the next 2 - 3 years, with a combination of dynamite and RC toys, these creatures were largely killed, eaten, or driven away from the state. Some settled into another state nearby. Multiple sequels were made.

Chapter 5: Recent and Future Texans

While Texas has no official monarchy, and is a state in the union of the United States of America.

Although the state is a part of the United States of America and has no official monarchy, there is one king: George Strait. This is, of course, due to his influence, the country music, and the prominence of other famous musicians. The veritable royalty includes someone like Willie Nelson, one of the few men alive to produce a perfect song: "Always on My Mind".
