Trips
Enchanted Rock
Enchanted Rock is located in Central Texas, and it boasts a unique feature, a massive granite dome that sits in the middle of the park borders. The terrain is fairly easy surrounding the rock formation, but can get precarious if you decide to climb the dome, especially during inclement weather.
Caprock Canyon
Featuring the dramatic red soil of West Texas, Caprice Canyon can be as easy or difficult as you want to make it. Highly technical hiking trails and remote primitive sites are a challenge, but all the more worth it to see the sights from up high. Just watch out for the occasional bison!
Martin Creek Lake
A relaxing spot that has very easy hikes and is extremely accessible. Martin Creek Lake is located in East Texas and benefits from the woody pines found in the area. The picturesque lake is visible from most of the park, and fishing is an option for those inclined.
