Main Characters
Octonaunt has 8 main characters. Everyone is an expert in a spectial domaine. They all live in Octopod, they are good teamworker.
Captain Barnacles
Captain Barnacles is the captain of the Octonauts and a brave polar bear. Along with being the captain, Barnacles is also the strongest member of the crew, and he’s demonstrated that in a number of different episodes. He’s also one of the most level-headed crew members, often dismissing Kwazii’s outlandish stories about sea monsters and ghosts. Captain Barnacles has gone on many adventures with his crew, including a super polar adventure and a family adventure with his niece and nephew Ursa and Orson.
Kwazii Cat
Kwazii is a daredevil cat with a mysterious pirate past. He loves storms, exploring, general excitement and swashbuckling. Kwazii is one of the best drivers on the Octopod as he often takes his favorite Gup, the Gup-B, out for driving practice. He has also gone on many adventures with Captain Barnacles and the rest of the Octonauts crew.
Peco
Peso is the medical officer for the Octonauts. He is a small, kind-hearted penguin from a large family of penguins. He likes having that kind of family because they all look out for each other. He tries to help all the creatures injured as he says "I help any creature who is hurt or sick no matter what." He is a good doctor and crew. Sometime he isn't so confidence, but when he he find others need help, he always be brave and do his best to help and rescue.
Shellington
Shellington is the Octopod’s marine biologist who speaks with a Scottish accent. He loves doing field research and working in his lab. He is easily distracted by rare plants and animals, which often gets him into trouble because of this, but his knowledge is very beneficial in missions1.
Tweak Bunny
Tweak Bunny is an engineer rabbit who is responsible for fixing and inventing things on the Octopod. She is also responsible for maintaining the GUP vehicles. Tweak is a resourceful rabbit who can fix anything and loves to invent new gadgets."Faster than you can say 'Buncha Munchy Crunchy Carrots'!" is her catch phrase.
Professor Inkling
Professor Inkling is the founder of the Octonauts. He is an octopus and has a deep understanding of marine life. Inkling founded the Octonauts to promote marine research and preservation. In addition to being their founder, Inkling is also their oceanography professor. He rarely goes out on missions. Instead of going out on missions, Professor Inkling prefers to help the team from his library in the Octopod. However, he claimed to be an expert at tentacle wrestling.
Dashi Dog
Dashi is a Dachshund Dog who controls all of the computers, communication devices, and steering for the Octopod. She is often portrayed as a meteorologist as well. She is also the crew's official photographer, taking pictures of the different creatures the Octonauts meet. Dashi normally stays on the Octopod to coordinate missions on an advisory capacity, but she has joined in on a number of missions before and has even done a solo mission.
Tunip
Tunip is the Octonauts' head cook and gardener. He is a Vegimal, a half-animal, half-vegetable creature capable of breathing on land as well as underwater. He is the smallest main character in the Octonauts crew. He may be cute, but sometimes he can get a little silly like all the Vegimals. Aside from cooking the meals, Tunip works in the garden, cultivating vegetables he can use to cook meals. His two favorite meals are fish biscuits and kelp cakes.
