Fun Shark Facts

• Sharks have been around for over 400 million years.

My Favorite Shark Species:

Great White Shark

Great whites are the largest predatory sharks in the world. In order to breathe they must constantly swim, allowing for water to go through their gills. If they stop then they suffocate.

Lemon Shark

When life gives you lemon sharks, you pet them! They are known for their yellowish color giving them their name!

Whale Shark

Whale sharks are the largest fish in the world and are gentle giants. They eat small organisms like krill.

Shark Conservation

Sharks play a vital role in ocean ecosystems. Unfortunately, many species are endangered due to overfishing, pollution, and habitat loss. It is important to protect sharks for the health of our oceans.
