Some Ideas, followed up by some quotes
I don't think people are bad; I believe people are just people. Everyone has their own interests, desires, and needs, etc. It is natural to be selfish, to be violent, to be greedy, to be narcissistic, to be arrogant. Why do we think being good is good, or being bad is bad, for that matter? Even the most selfless act can be traced to a selfish drive—the drive to perceive oneself as a "correct" individual. This drive is inherently selfish. In order for you to think that you are good, you must act in ways that make you think you are good. Where is that universal morality that everyone seeks? Is it even real? I don't think so. What I consider morally right might conflict with someone else’s sense of right and wrong, just as in one part of the world, it is okay to eat tasty bacon, but in another, it is a sin. Morality is relative; it's not universal. So by extension, if nothing is good or bad, does that mean nothing matters? I think the short answer is yes, it does not matter—at least, not in a cosmic sense. In this framework of thought, meaning is not found but made. It rests on the individual's shoulders to find what matters and pursue it. It should be your largest display of your human nature, an embrace of suffering, an embrace of hardship, an embrace of grief, a recognition of your vulnerability, and an unshakeable commitment to rise despite all. I believe that it is in the acceptance of life's impermanence, indifference, and difficulty that we find the freedom to live according to your own will and true desires.
